Bok and Bibliotek, known internationally as the Gothenburg Book Fair, is the largest cultural event in the Nordic countries and the most important literary trade fair in Scandinavia. The fair gathers Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, and Icelandic publishers, with a strong programme on press freedom, library policy, and the Scandinavian school market. The 2026 fair will spotlight Popular Adult Education, the Nordic tradition of community-based lifelong learning, alongside the customary programme of crime fiction, translated literature, and children's books.
