Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL)

FIL Guadalajara is the largest publishing event in the Spanish-speaking world and the most important rights fair in Latin America, drawing more than 800,000 attendees and 2,000 publishers to the Expo Guadalajara each November. Beyond its scale, FIL is the centre of gravity for Spanish-language literary culture, awarding the prestigious FIL Literary Award in Romance Languages and hosting Guest of Honour programmes that have launched entire national literatures into international visibility. Sharjah is the 2026 Guest of Honour, bringing an Arabic-Spanish translation programme.
