SIBF is the third largest book fair in the world and the most important publishing event in the Arab world, drawing more than two million visitors over twelve days to the Expo Centre Sharjah. The fair operates as both an enormous consumer event, with 1.3 million titles in 210 languages, and a serious rights marketplace through its preceding Publishers Conference and US 300,000 dollar annual translation grant programme. Morocco serves as the 2026 Guest of Honour, with a full pavilion of Moroccan literature, music, and intellectual history.
